Our Standard

The Veteran Benefit Desk, operated by Aurelis LLC, publishes educational information about VA disability benefits. Our goal is to explain the public rules clearly and honestly, show our math, and tell you where every number comes from.

How We Work

  • Primary sources first. We base content on primary public sources such as 38 C.F.R., VA publications, and federal statutes. See our Source Policy.
  • We show our work. Calculators use the public VA rate tables, and we cite the source for the figures we publish.
  • We review before publishing. Content is reviewed by our editorial team and updated when regulations or rate tables change.
  • We separate editorial from paid placements. Sponsors and advertisers do not write, edit, approve, or influence our editorial content. See our Sponsor Disclosure and Advertising Disclosure.

What We Do Not Do

We do not provide individualized claims advice, and we are not VA-accredited to represent claimants under 38 C.F.R. section 14.629. See our Disclaimer.

Updates and Corrections

We record significant updates in our public update log and fix errors promptly under our Corrections Policy.
