Report Desk
We read the audit so you don't have to.
VA's Inspector General and the Government Accountability Office publish oversight reports nearly every week. Most run dozens or hundreds of pages and almost nobody reads them. We do. Each digest gives you what the watchdog examined, the findings that matter, what happens next, and a link to the original document.
How digests are produced
Reports are pulled from the official VA OIG and GAO feeds. Each digest is drafted from the report's own text, then reviewed and edited by a person before publication. Digests summarize; they never add findings the report does not contain. Always cite the original document, linked from every digest. Related: our policy participation record and original research.

We provide educational information only and encourage veterans to seek accredited help for individual claim advice. The Veteran Benefit Desk™ is a veteran founded independent digital publication and education platform that helps veterans understand VA disability claims, ratings, evidence, and appeals using clear explanations, original research, and cited public sources.
