One issue. The whole record.
A big veterans issue generates statutes, rules, audits, court decisions, and records requests that end up scattered across a dozen government sites. A docket page puts everything on one dated timeline: the law, every Federal Register rule we track, oversight findings from the VA OIG and GAO, and the comments and FOIA requests we file ourselves. Every entry links to a primary source.
The PACT Act
The Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act of 2022 expanded VA health care and benefits for veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances. This docket tracks the statute, the rules VA has issued to carry it out, oversight findings, and the claims outcome data we obtained under FOIA.
Rating Schedule Modernization
VA has been rewriting the Schedule for Rating Disabilities, 38 CFR Part 4, body system by body system to replace criteria that in some cases dated to 1945. Each rewrite changes how new claims are rated. This docket tracks every rating schedule rule as it moves through the Federal Register, along with oversight findings and our own filings.
Community and Emergency Care
When VA cannot furnish timely care, veterans see community providers, and when an emergency strikes, the nearest hospital is rarely a VA hospital. The rules on who pays have been fought over in Congress, at VA, and in court for decades. This docket tracks that record, from the Millennium Act to current oversight of denied emergency claims.
How a docket is assembled
Rules come from the Federal Register API, oversight reports from the official VA OIG and GAO feeds, and comments and FOIA requests from our own participation record. New items attach to the matching docket automatically as our syncs run. The curated milestones cite the statute, the Federal Register, or the court decision they describe.
