Effective Date: September 5, 2026. Last Updated: September 5, 2026.
This notice is published separately from our Privacy Policy so that it can be reached from a distinct link, as the Washington My Health My Data Act (Wash. Rev. Code chapter 19.373), Nevada SB 370 (NRS 603A.400 and following), and similar laws expect. It applies to consumer health data collected by Aurelis LLC, doing business as The Veteran Benefit Desk, through veteranbenefitdesk.com. "Consumer health data" means personal information linked or reasonably linkable to you that identifies your past, present, or future physical or mental health status. A VA disability rating percentage tied to your email address can fall within that definition, so we treat it that way.
What We Do Not Collect
Our calculators, screeners, and lookups process the numbers you enter within your request to show a result on screen. Those inputs are not written to our database. Results you save stay in your browser on your device and never reach us. Reading the site requires no account.
What We Collect, and Only When You Ask
We collect consumer health data in exactly three situations, each started by you:
- Emailed calculator estimate. When you ask us to email an estimate, we store your email address, which calculator you used, the summary lines needed to render the email (these can include the disability ratings you entered and the resulting monthly amounts), a link that reopens the estimate, the time of the request, and how many times you have asked.
- Rating goal roadmap. When you ask for a roadmap, we store your email address, the individual ratings you entered, your current combined rating, whether you indicated a spouse, and the time of the request.
- Proposed-reduction deadline reminder. When you ask for reminders, we store your email address, the notice date you entered, the hearing-request and evidence deadlines calculated from it, the earliest effective date shown, whether you indicated a 100 percent or TDIU rating, and which reminders have been sent.
Your request is your consent. We do not infer health information from your browsing, and we do not collect health data from any other source.
Purposes
We use this data only to send you the estimate, roadmap, or reminder you asked for and, if you stay opted in, follow-up messages about the same request such as a rate-change update or the reminder dates you chose. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.
Sources
The only source is you: the numbers and dates you type into the tool and the email address you give us.
Sharing
We do not sell consumer health data and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with two categories of service providers, under written agreements that limit their use to providing the service: the cloud hosting and database infrastructure that stores the record, and the transactional email delivery provider that sends the message. Our Sub-processors page describes both. No affiliate receives it. We would disclose it to a government body only when required by valid legal process.
How Long We Keep It
- Estimate and roadmap figures are deleted 90 days after the last email you requested. Your email address is kept only while you remain opted in to follow-up messages; when you unsubscribe or ask us to delete, the record is removed within 90 days and sooner on request.
- Reminder dates are deleted 30 days after the last deadline they track, and the record is removed at the same time.
- The copy of each sent email in our delivery queue is deleted after 90 days.
Your Rights
You may withdraw consent, confirm whether we hold consumer health data about you, receive a copy, have it deleted, or stop follow-up messages at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in any message we sent you, the privacy request form, legal@veteranbenefitdesk.com, or the Contact page. Withdrawal and deletion requests are not subject to identity verification beyond what is needed to act on them. We respond within 45 days, extendable once by 45 days where reasonably necessary with notice to you. If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our decision; we will respond to the appeal within 45 days and tell you how to contact your state attorney general if you are not satisfied. Washington residents may contact the Washington Attorney General and Nevada residents the Nevada Attorney General.
No Geofencing
We do not use geofencing of any kind.

We will post changes here with a new Last Updated date and, for material changes, give notice as the law requires.
