Why Sources Matter
The Veteran Benefit Desk, operated by Aurelis LLC, is built on public, verifiable sources so you can check our work and walk into your claim already understanding the rules.
What Counts as a Source
- Primary law and regulation. Federal statutes, 38 C.F.R., and the public VA rate tables.
- Official VA materials. VA publications, forms, and guidance.
- We prefer primary, official sources over secondary commentary. When we reference secondary material, we identify it as such.
How We Cite
- We link to the specific source for figures and rules where practical.
- We record when a source was retrieved and when content was last reviewed.
- We update content when a cited source changes.
Report a Source Issue
If a source link is broken or a citation looks wrong, please tell us through our Corrections Policy. See also our Editorial Policy.
