2026 VA Disability Pay Chart
These are the 2026 monthly VA disability compensation rates, including the 2.8 percent cost of living adjustment effective December 1, 2025. Your payment depends on your combined rating and the dependents on your claim. Use the figures below, or estimate your own payment with the monthly compensation calculator.
The 2026 rates reflect the 2.8 percent cost-of-living increase enacted by the Veterans' Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2025 (Public Law 119-42), which directs VA to match the Social Security adjustment. The rates took effect December 1, 2025; VA published the increase in the Federal Register: Cost-of-Living Adjustments for Service-Connected Benefits (published February 17, 2026), and posts the same tables at VA.gov. Rate tables are imported from VA.gov and compared cell by cell against the published tables before display; every change is recorded in the update log.
Step 1. Choose one base monthly rate for the veteran's family status. If there are no children, use the first table; if there is at least one child under 18, use the second table, whose rates already include the first child. Step 2. Add the applicable additional amounts from the third table: the published amount for each additional child under 18 beyond the first, the separate amount for each child over 18 in a qualifying school program, and the spouse Aid and Attendance amount where it applies. Example from VA: 70%, spouse, three children under 18, spouse receiving Aid and Attendance = $2,074.45 + 2 x $76.00 + $141.00 = $2,367.45. These are educational reference figures; selecting a family configuration does not establish that VA recognizes a dependent or guarantee payment.
